TouchMountain: Terms of Use

End User License Agreement

TouchMountain for Windows Phone and the database are a property of MIT Innovation AG (Switzerland). It’s not allowed to reuse it without written approval by MIT Innovation AG. You are only allowed to use TouchMountain for the private use. Furthermore, it is not allowed to make any kind of copies/duplications or share the application to others. It’s permitted to use the software on other devices, which didn’t pay the licence. Furthermore, decompiling, reverse engineering, disassembling, modifying, changing/editing, renting the software or parts of it is forbidden. Moreover, reselling, sharing the software with commercial goals and the development of derivative solutions, based on our Software, is prohibited without a written approval by MIT Innovation AG.

MIT Innovation AG repudiates any kind of liability for the use of the software and possible direct or indirect consequential damages. Furthermore MIT Innovation AG grants no guaranty concerning the accuracy of the shown data and their values. Providing this data happens to be after the “best-effort”-principle, MIT Innovation AG offers no guarantees concerning availabilities. MIT Innovation AG reserves to change remove, or expand functionalities of the application at any time. MIT Innovation AG reserves the right to changes the contents of the EULA and the application disclaimer at any time. You should be aware that TouchMountain uses GPS technology. This is not fail-safe nor reliable for navigation purposes, it may contain defects and is not designed or licensed for use in mission-critical applications.

We use data from a wide range of different sources. The most important service for our peak directory is www.geonames.org. Thanks for this great service!

Privacy Policy

To use TouchMountain, the use of your location data on your device is required. When you allow TouchMountain to access your device’s location, it will connect to Microsoft’s location services and request the approximate location of the device (if available). You can disable the localization in the settings of the app, but you won’t be able to use most of the features of TouchMountain. For webrequests your location data (longitude and latitude) gets stored anonymized for statistical purposes only. We will not transfer your personal data to any third party.
